Bulletins
Keep band members and crew up to date with messages attached to the date they concern.
Where to Find Bulletins
- Every standalone event and tour show day, travel day, or day off has a Bulletin tab. Each bulletin belongs to that date.
- Home shows the newest unread bulletin for your selected band above Today, with a red alert card and the date, city, and venue or event name when available. Choose View all to see the full unread list.
- Logistics also previews unread bulletins for its date. Open a preview or notification to jump to the message in the bulletin list.
- Read messages directly in the list. Use Show more for a longer message and Show less to collapse it.
Publishing a Bulletin
- The band owner and Band members with editing access can publish. Crew and anyone with view-only access can read bulletins.
- Open the date's Bulletin tab. In the iOS app, choose + then Bulletin. On web and Android, you can also choose New bulletin.
- Enter a title and message, then choose Publish. Include the practical change and anything people need to do, such as a new meeting point or arrival instruction.
- New bulletins notify other current band members and crew who have push notifications enabled. You do not receive a push for your own announcement.
- Bulletins remain available in the app when push notifications are off. Publishing bulletins does not spend credits.
Unread Messages and Read Status
- A bulletin is marked read automatically when the end of its full message is visible in the list. For longer messages, choose Show more and scroll to the end.
- Home and Logistics previews do not mark a bulletin read. Open the list to read it.
- Read status records that the message was displayed; it is not confirmation that someone has acted on it.
- The unread indicator and counts update after reading. The card stays in place while you browse, then leaves the unread list on your next visit. You can still find it on the date's Bulletin tab.
- The Home alert disappears when you have no unread bulletins for the selected band.
Editing and Sending an Update Again
- The bulletin's author or the band owner can edit or withdraw it while they have editing access. Crew cannot manage bulletins.
- Swipe or drag the bulletin left in the list to reveal Edit bulletin and Withdraw bulletin. With a keyboard, focus the row and press Left Arrow to reveal the actions; Right Arrow or Escape closes them.
- Choose Edit bulletin, update the title or message, then Save changes. A normal edit is silent and keeps other people's read status.
- For a change everyone needs to see, select Notify band and crew again before saving. This makes the bulletin unread again for others and sends a new push notification where enabled.
Changing a Timing and Notifying the Band
- From the date's Logistics tab, choose Change timing and notify. Select an existing Timing, enter the New time, and add an optional Note.
- Choose Review bulletin to check the announcement, then Save timing and notify. TourNote saves the timing change and publishes its bulletin together.
- Writing a time in an ordinary bulletin does not update Logistics. Use Change timing and notify when the saved schedule needs to change too.
Withdrawing a Bulletin
- Swipe or drag the bulletin left, choose Withdraw bulletin, and confirm. The confirmation shows how many people still have it unread.
- Withdrawal removes the bulletin from unread alerts and leaves a withdrawal notice on the date's list. The original message remains under View withdrawn message, and TourNote keeps its read history.
- Withdrawal is not permanent deletion. A withdrawn bulletin cannot be edited or sent again; publish a new bulletin if needed.
- Withdrawing a timing-change bulletin does not undo the saved timing. Correct the timing separately if it has changed again.
